“Sensitizing highway workers to the dangers of working in traffic and to the need to set up work zones so that drivers can get through them safely is another step we are taking, but we need motorists’ help,” Mr. Pethtel said.
“The sight of an orange safety cone or sign should set off an alarm in the mind of the driver. Orange is a signal that a work zone is ahead. Paying attention to that could mean the difference between a safe trip and an accident,” the Commissioner added.
