AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF

WASHINGTON, VIRGINIA

THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND THE TOWN COUNCEL OF THE TOWN OF WASHINGTON, VIRGINIA will hold a public hearing on September 13, 1989 at 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Courthouse of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, in Washington, Virginia, to consider the following amendment to the Historic District Ordinance of the Town of Washington:

Amend Section 4.2 of the Historic District Ordinance of the Town of Washington to read: Membership shall consist of not less than three nor more than five members, all of whom may be residents of the Town of Washington, Virginia; however, one of said members may be a non-resident of the Town of Washington, Virginia; each of whom shall have a reasonable knowledge and have demonstrated an interest in historic preservation and/or architectural development within the Town of Washington.

A copy of the proposed amendment to the Historic District Ordinance is available for public inspection at the office of the Zoning Administrator of Rappahannock County and the Town of Washington, Virginia, and at the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office during normal working hours.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing and make its views known.
