Spirtuality lessons

“The Art of Becoming What You Are,” a series of 12 lessons demonstrating the practical and relevant aspects of Jesus’ teachings and how to apply these teachings to our lives, our problems and our relationships so that life will be happier and more fulfilling. The series is presented by the Unity Center of Practical Christianity in Warrenton, which is affiliated with the Unity School of Christianity. The teacher will be minister, Angelo Giordani. Beahm-Bolen reunion planned

Descendants, friends and relatives are invited to the seventh annual George Washington and Nancy Bolen Beahm family reunion Sunday, Sept. 2, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Rappahannock Park on Route 211 near Washington. Circus Day at Flint Hill

Thursday, Sept. 20, will be “Circus Day” in Flint Hill with special arrangements being handled by Robert Brothers Circus. Proceeds from the advance ticket sales will be used for the ongoing expenses of the fire department. The event will include clowns, animals, live music, and fun for everyone. A community wide sale will be sponsored prior to “Circus Day. ”

Ruritans plan auction

Sperryville plans fall carnival

The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will have a fall carnival Oct. 4-7. Rides will be provided by West Virginia Amusement Company. The department plans to host a Saturday and Sunday matinee. A band has been scheduled for Thursday night and other activities will be announced at a later date.

Flexercise class

A six-week series of Flexercise classes will begin on Sept. 11 at Rappahannock County Elementary School. The classes will be held each Tuesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. The fee for the series is $30. For more information, contact Rose Ann Sharp (675-3887, evenings).
