PROPOSALS
The Rappahannock County Library Board hereby invites all interested contractors to submit proposals to provide all labor and materials for construction of the new Rappahannock County Library. The proposed structure contains one stoiy and a partial basement. The project is located just off of U.S. Rt. 211/522 near the Town of Washington, Virginia, in Rappahannock County with frontage along Rt.683. The project is to be built in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by McClintock & Associates, P C., dated August, 1990, or such later addenda as the Architect may issue
All work shall conform with the 1987 Uniform Statewide Building Code, as amended. Work shall commence in timely manner from date of contract award and substantial completion shall take place no later than two hundredten (210) days (on or about May 1, 1991) from Notice to Proceed; contractor shall be liable for back charges at a rate of $300.00 per day for failure to complete the project on time. Submission materials (including prescribed bid form) shall be as required by the contract manual available from the Architect.
Bid bond shall be required in the amount of 5% of the lump sum bid amount. Bid bond may take the form of certified check or Bond Certificate signed and notarized by a recognized bondinq aqencv.
