Only minor injuries were reported as a result of three accidents in the county last week, according to State Trooper S.M. Knick.
Trooper Knick charged Deborah S. Finley, 32, of Sperryville, with reckless driving after an accident Monday morning on Route 231 in the F.T. Valley. Ms. Finley was northbound about two miles south of Route 681 when she lost control of her 1990 Ford pickup truck.
The truck, according to Trooper Knick, ran off the right side of the road, skidded back across the road and onto the left shoulder before sliding across both lanes a second time and running off the right shoulder, through a fence and overturning in a field.
Ms. Finley was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. Trooper Knick estimated damage to the truck at $3,000.
Pamela W. Rush, 44, of Washington, was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-car accident on U.S. 211 last Thursday evening.
