Miss Pendleton remembered the candy sales to finance the senior trip and thanked “those who have helped us. our parents, teachers, and friends... God bless you all and thank you.”

Valedictorian Rachel Atkins noted that 13 years ago when the class started kindergarten many had tears in their eyes as they parted with their parents. "This last day together is similar," she said. "Tears again till our eyes as we say good by to each other... The world is about to discover the 1993 class from RCHS. I wish all of you happiness, success and love.”

Superintendent David Gangel told the graduates “If your education stops now, these past 13 years are in vain... From this point your future is more your responsibility than your parents or faculty. Create your own individual futures, society’s future and America's .future. Rededicate yourselves to continuous learning. The future is youVs to create, so create.”

Several students received scholarships as part of the graduation ceremonies.
