Courtney Beeton, Markham, and Louis Nelson III, Front Royal, were graduated June 13 from Wakefield Country Day School. Beeton, was awarded the Advanced Honors Classical-Scientific Diploma and Nelson received the Classical Diploma. Beeton will enter the University of Virginia in the fall, and Nelson will attend Murray State University.
Leaving Certificates were awarded to Andrew Inglis, Washington, and other seventh graders who successfully passed the exams showing their readiness to join the prep school.
Joseph W. Barr, former Secretary of the Treasury, gave the commencement address. He encouraged his listeners to improve on his generation’s record in caring for the young of our nation.
