own original perspective to her music. “Buffalo,” a song with a Native American theme, demands awareness that the gods of the white and red cultures are equally sacred, and is followed on "Blue Apples” by "NY 10/11/91,” a bittersweet love song in which she tells a nearly perfect lover, “I don’t know why I’m not in love with you.”
On “Boy With a Kite,” she creates an up-tempo celebration of the joy of a moment in time without a care, letting her heart and mind soar into the clouds with the kite.
And that’s just half the show. Jospe and his band. Inner Rhythm, bring a form of music to the county that is seldom seen in this area. Jospe worked with some of the greatest names in jazz in twelve years on the New York City scene.
His mastery of an incredibly versatile range of rhythmic styles and a fertile creative mind have been the basis for “Inner Rhythm,” his first solo release. The compact disk has been described as the “fusing of driving funkypop/' rhythms, and the haunting rhythms of the high African plainsv with solo improvisations,” (Albemarle Magazine). Inner Rhythm, the band, has been called a “versatile and accessible (group), equally adept at Jospe’s original, often Latin-flavored compositions and jazz classics” (Richmond Times-Dispatch).
