Nobody was hurt in any of the incidents, and the sheriffs office is investigating. It is not known if the acts are related, or if they were committed by unconnected individuals or groups.
Sheriff John Henry Woodward said that it is “possible” that wind blew over the eagles, but that the rest of the incidents are the work of vandals.
“Vandalism is one of the most difficult crimes to solve,” he commented, “because there is usually very little evidence.”
“We need the help of the public,” he added. “If you know anything about these crimes, please call us and let us know at 675-3331.”
