happy to report one member has lost 501/2 pounds this year just by eating a low-fat diet, exercising, and drinking lots of water. More important than weight loss itself, is good nutrition, regular exercise, and a healthier lifestyle, then the pounds will come off.

The club has been discussing the Lean Living program by Fauquier Hospital in recent weeks. Upcoming weeks will discuss “Weight Control for Adults,” a publication by the Virginia Cooperative Extension. The course was recently offered by Rappahannock County Extension Office.

For camping trips call TASC for TEENS at 1-800-296-TASC or 9378272 (YES-TASC).

No smoking will be allowed in Post Offices beginning June 13.

In addition to the Fire Department’s special 40th anniversary Tshirt, Hackley’s also has the “Amissville-22002” shirts (A take-off on “Beverly Hills-90210”). $1 of the cost of each shirt will go to the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department.

Also Rappahannock County shirts for $10 are available at Hackley’s and other locations. The total preceeds will benefit the Rappahannock Athletic Association.

Have a great week and call with your news or leave at Hackley’s Store.
