Most of the amendments suggested by the committee were approved as written or with minor changes. The proposed zoning ordinance as amended was referred back to the Planning Commission for their review and comment.
The water works continues to record more water, than is actually billed to customers, reported Mr. Fisher. In May, about 1.2 million gallons of water passed through the system, but only about 831,000 gallons were recorded on meters. “That leaves about 30,000 gallons that are missing,” said Mr. Fisher. He added that there are many old meters that are “10 to 20 percent slow,” so this will account for some of the missing water.
