Amissville Baptist Vacation Bible School runs from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. June 21-25.
Hope you have your float ideas nearing completion. Next Thursday, June 24, is the big day for the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue’s parade beginning at 6:30 p.m. If you’ve not called in your entry, call J.B. Carter at 937-4218.
As is customary, boxed suppers will be available on parade night. The community’s help is greatly appreciated in providing fried chicken, potato salad, delived eggs, and cakes. If you can help, please call Sarah at 937-4410 or Sandy at 9374218. They will accept cooked or uncooked chicken that they can prepare.
We recently learned that one of the special floats will be made up of former employees of Hackley’s Store, which goes back many,many years. Will be interesting to see this “mystery float.” The carnival runs June 23-26.
