Jenkins family reunion

Family members and friends of the late Aubrey and Ellen Baker Jenkins are invited to a reunion on Saturday, June 19 at the Rappahannock Park on U.S. 211 near Washington. “Bring a covered dish and join us from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.,” said an organizer. Pressure gauges to be tested

It’s that time of year for all home canners to have their Dial Pressure Canner Gauges checked. The Extension Office will be testing the dial gauges 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22 and from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 24. Remember, you only need to bring your lid.

Food needed for parade night

It is carnival time in Amissville, almost, and the folks at the food stand are in need of chicken, fried or uncooked, potato salad, deviled eggs and cakes for the dinner boxes to be sold on Thursday, parade night.
