The Board of Supervisors
voted to include three sections of roads in the State Secondary Road System when they met last Wednesday for the regular June meeting.
The committee for the historical exhibit scheduled for July 4th at the Rappahannock Library in Washington is grateful for receiving for exhibition a most interesting old Sheriffs Bond, deed and two wills datings as far back as 1817. At this time some old maps are also known to be available.
Miss Dana Snead, daughter of Judge and Mrs. R.V. Snead, Washington, will participate in the “Miss Colonial Beach” contest to be held June 14 at Colonial Beach. The beauty contest is • held in connection with the Potomac River Festival under the direction of the Chamber of Commerce.
