Last Wednesday evening the Board of Supervisors agreed to contract with Community Trash.Inc. to haul trash from the dumpsters at Scrabble and Huntly and the landfill itself for the rest of the fiscal year, until June SO, for $57,333. The supervisors also agreed to contract with the same company to operate the landfill for $75,333 for the rest of the fiscal year.

Community Trash, owned by E.B. and Ruth Updike of Culpeper, is the only firm which bid to operate the landfill. The other bid for providing trash hauling service was higher than the bid from Community Trash.

The Updikes also agreed to renew the contracts at the same rate of
