October skies foretell above average conditions for both precipitation and temperatures.
Weather Watch: The month opens with showers, storms (1-3), then fair, cool (4,5). Look out for more showers (6,7) and severe storms (8,9). (10-14) should be fair, mild, but then there’ll be more showers with wind (15-17). (18-21) promises to be fair, mild with (22,23) cloudy, warmer. Keep a weather eye out for a tropical storm (24-26), interrupted by a fair, cooler period (27-29), as the month winds up with more wind and rain (30-31).
The first killing frost will be on or about Oct. 5.
Tornado Watch: No activity of this nature is foreseen in our area.
