Clinton's Health Plan The President’s health plan may not appeal to you. It certainly does not appeal to everybody, and even those who support it in principle realize it needs to have some glitches worked out. However, some folks like it. In case you are wondering who might like the President’s plan, here is a partial list of those it may appeal to: • People who have no insurance • People who were laid off and lost their insurance • People in low-paying jobs who can’t afford insurance • Workers who want to change jobs but are afraid of losing their insurance • Parents who want to quit their jobs and stay home with their children but don’t want to lose their insurance • Doctors, nurses, and other health professionals who want to spend more time with patients and less time doing paperwork • Health care administrators who want to keep costs down • Part-time workers who don’t have any insurance • People with catastrophic illnesses who have used up their insurance • People with chronic illnesses who have had their insurance canceled Some of these people live in Rappahannock County. Some are your friends or neighbors. Some may be members of your own family. And one of them may even be you.
