Sharnita Fletcher was the leading scorer with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals. “Angie Atkins did a good job at point guard getting us down to score,” Coach Wingate said. “The bench did a tremendous job filling in for the starters and keeping up the pressure on defense.”
The teams have two away games this week, playing Manassas Park Tuesday night and Clark County Thursday night before returning home next Tuesday to play Brentsville.
Last w'eek both teams lost away games against Strasburg Tuesday and home games against George Mason Thursday.
Following those games coach Leake said both high school teams were showing their lack of playing experience. They were suffering the consequence of turnovers. “You can’t coach playing experience,” he said.
