The original barn circa 1749 is one of the few remaining ancient barns in the county. The two cabins which will be open to the public were constructed from three cabins. They are now a guest house and the farm office. The manager Mr. Charles Jenkins’ Mother was born in one of the cabins.
Piedmont t arm is a most unusual working farm with six hundred fallow deer grazing on seven pastures. The small deer, originially from the Middle East, are used for venison in restaurants up and down the East Coast. The Graages also sell stock deer to other deer farms.
The tour and sale begin at 11 a.m., Oct. 1G. Tea will be served at Mountain Green from 2-5 p.m. each day. The tour and sale continues at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17.
