Signs and stickers for U.S. Senate candidate Oliver North were plentiful as the county Republicans gathered for their mass meeting to elect delegates to the state and 10th District conventions and to elect the local party comittee and officers Monday evening.
Representatives were present to speak for Col. North and his Repubbecause
of the prior understanding. “However, if hinds are available, I strongly recommend inclusion of this position in the budget ($37,196.88 including fringe benefits).”
The budget as approved is up 7.96 percent from the current budget. It includes an additional $201,019 in county funds, a 6.33 percent increase.
