Early this month School Superintendent David Gangel, assistant superintendent Robert Chappell and “learning environment coordinator” Richard Smith from the school system, County Administrator John McCarthy, and Board of Supervisors’ members Pete Estes and Mike Massie met with Don Hearl, representative from ESS of Culpeper, to discuss wastewater treatment plans for the high school and elementary school. • The Department of Environmental Quality, “DEQ”, has imposed ammonia limits on effluents for both schools, and more equipment will most likely be necessary at both in order to meet the limits. ' Mr. Hearl explained different options which the schools could install. Mr. Massie said, “I am worried that we cpuld put in a state of the art system and then in three years it could he obsolete.” Mr. Hearl agreed that
