The next DARE program, “DARE Show ’94, A Salute to Kids and Vets,” 'will take place at the Manassas Municipal Airport on May 25. This event will be attended by over 5,000 students in the DARE program in Virginia. All of the fifth and sixth graders from RCES are planning to participate in this field trip.

During the program, there will be several flyovers, including F-14 Tomcats and A-6 Intruders from the U.S. Navy, F-16 Falcons from the Virginia Air Guard, and the Thunderbirds demonstration team from the U.S. Air Force.

Many displays will also be available to the students, including F-18 Hornets from the U.S. Marines, a K9 demonstration, a swat team demonstration, police cruisers, and the U.S. Air Force Presidential Honor Guard.

Members of the VFW and many members of Congress and the State Legislature will be in attendance for this third annual DARE event.

The next DARE programs to be offered in Rappahannock County schools will be for fifth and ninth graders during the 1994-95 school year. i
