Josie Patterson, 85, of Front Royal died Saturday, March 19 at Shawnee Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Winchester.
The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. John Pendleton.
Burial will be in Washington.
Mrs. Patterson was bom in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late William and Kathrine Green Newman.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington and the Warren County Senior Citizens.
She was the wife of the late Herman Patterson.
Surviving are two sisters, Ethel Scales and Sara Johnson, both of Harrisburg, Pa. and a brother, Robert Lewis Newman of Middletown.
Pallbearers will be Charles Washington, David Chunn, Lyle Roberts, William Robinson, Ray Shane and James Asbury.
