Recently released figures from the Virginia Employment Commission for January and February show that Rappahannock’s unemployment rate increased to 4.4 percent in February up from up 3.7 percent in January and 3.5 percent in December.
All of these rates are lower than for last year, when the unemployment for Rappahannock was 5.8 percent in February, 8 percent in January, and 6.9 percent in December.
