Robert Balland is well-known as the discoverer of Titanic and Bismarck and as the author of two books about those spectacular wrecks.
Dr. Balland’s latest work, written with Rick Archbold, The Lost Ships of Guadalcanal: Exploring the Ghost Fleet of the South Pacific, required two expeditions to the Solomons, the enthusiastic cooperation of the United States Navy, the Australian Navy, and the Government of the Solomons. It shows the successful coordination of many other organizations and people.
