Robert Jackson
Robert Russell Jackson, 84, of Culpeper, formerly of Woodville, died on Wednesday, March 30 at Culpeper Health Care Center.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Myrit and Lena Jackson and the husband of the late Florence Hunter Jackson.
He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Woodville.
He is survived by two daughters, Jean Claudine Hunter-Davis of Baltimore, Md. and Beatrice Smith of White Plains, N.Y.; two sons, Lloyd Harrison and Clarence Harrison, both of New York, N.Y.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, April 5 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. George O. Dean officiating.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
, Clydetta Lynn
Clydetta Elizabeth Lynn, 78, of Huntly died Tuesday, April 5 at her home. ) A Mass of Resurrection was held at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Washington on Friday, April 8 with Father Albert Verbeke officiating.
Interment was in the Union Cemetery in Lovettsville.
Mrs. Lynn was born June 27, 1915, in Keyser, W.Va. and raised in Brunswick, Md., the daughter of the late Clyde Gregory and Carrie Zenia Rice Smith.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. William E. Lynn; a son, William E. Lynn Jr. and a daughter, Molly Lynn Fraser.
She was a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church, past board member of the former Royal Dairy in Front Royal, past board member of the Wakefield Country Day School, library story teller and helped in the school office. , She helped in her husband’s medical practice in Front Royal for a number of years.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia “Patty” Lynn Shaw of Front Royal; two grandsons, Matthew Lynn of Wood ville and Michael Fraser of Hudson, Ohio; two stepgrandsOns, Wynn Voeks of Wildwood, N.J. and Douglas Voeks of Colorado; seven granddaughters, Susan Shaw Goodman of Crofton, Md.,' Carolyn Shaw Freeman of Oakton, Cynthia Shaw of Front Royal, Elizabeth Fraser of Middleburg, Marcy Lynn, Kathryn Lynn and Welby Lynn, all of Washington and one great-grandson, Michael Goodman of Crofton, Md.
Active pallbearers were Matthew Lynn, Michael Fraser, Wynn Voeks, Daniel Freeman, Marc Goodman and William Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Edwin Eastham, Stewart C. Payne, Dr. William C. Humphries, Chuck Leadman, Philippe Cognon, Dr. Charles M. Huber, Dr. John D. Landis, Murphy Mabry and Richard Viguerie.
A Christian Wake was held at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7 with the Father Albert Verbeke officiating.
