to learn that Stewart Willis, a full time resident, was willing to ati tempt to take on the arduous and demanding task of being mayor. I hope . everyone in town will give him their * support. We need a mayor whose life - is affected by the decisions he or she ' makes. 1
My second concern is the continuing conflict between business and residential interests. Our town is in real danger of being controlled and its destiny determined by a very powerful business, namely, The Inn. The Monopoly Game now going on and the race for control of the town council by candidates who would directly profit from decisions made by the council represents to me an unhealthy situation.
In order to maintain a balanced and well rounded council I wish to support the candidacies of Janice Moffet, Steve Critzer and especially Newbill Niller, a life long resident of the town and one of our most successful farmers. His efforts to preserve the farmlands and rural character of our county as a supervisor began 30 years ago and he has been actively involved as a leader in passing our protective zoning ordinances.
My husband and I have tremendous confidence in Newbill’s ability to make fair and balanced decisions and we know how much he loves and cares for our little piece of America. It is an example of the best this country has to offer. Newbill’s past tenure as mayor and as a member of the town council for many years is awitness to his care. Just compare; our town and county with what you* see around us. i
Most important of all, use your! vote that I envy so much and think; of the future of this unique and liveable town. ;
