Also new this year is a full-time teacher at the elementary school to work with students in inschool suspension and alternative education for students whose behavior keeps other students from learning. The teacher will coordinate the i curriculum with the regular classroom teachers, but the main goal of the program is to “direct the students towards more positive choices in their behavior,” Mr. Smith said. “I’m excited,” he said. “I think we’re set for an exciting year.”
