Viverette Jr., REC President and CEO, were re-elected to the Board of Directors of Old Dominion Electric Cooperative (ODEC). ODEC supplies wholesale electricity to 12 distribution cooperatives in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. It owns a 10 percent share of the North Anna Nuclear Power station, and is contracting a 577 megawatt coal fired power plant in Clover, Va.

Alphin, of Culpeper, has served on the local cooperative’s Board for 17 years and has served on ODEC’s Board since 1980. He is a deacon at Culpeper Baptist Church and has served on the county school board and as a director for Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Viverette, of Fredericksburg, served 10 years as REC’s assistant manager before he became the Cooperative’s president in 1988.
