Before the desserts were brought out, Inn Manager Tom Petot delivered a large package to Chris, a birthday present from The Inn. His sister wouldn’t let him open it until he got home, but it was a teddy bear. y
When the desserts arrived, the childrens’ eyes grew wide. The pastry chef had written “Happy Birthday” in chocolate around the periphery of Chris’s plate. He had celebrated his fifth birthday the previous day.
Sonya’s mousse was presented in a huge dessert glass. They both enjoyed their desserts and experience immensely. Their father David reported that they talked to him about their trip to The Inn for 45 minutes when they got home. He said they loved it, and were astonished at how beautiful it all was.
Both children will be attending Rappahannock County Elementary School this year. Chris will be in kindergarten, and Sonya is a seventh grader.
