This letter was co-signed by Attorneys General from 41 states including Jim Gilmore of Virginia.

Carpenter’s concerns are well founded, since GATT would require the U.S. government to enforce it’s rulings on the states by whatever means necessary. Mickey Kantor, U.S. Trade Representative, confirms this when he stated “we cannot guarantee that we will never urge a State to change laws that violate a Uruguary Round Agreement.” He means, of course, that the states will be forced to conform to GATT decisions.

Virginia Congressmen and Senators should support national sovereignty and local autonomy by voting down the latest GATT and its sovereignty-destroying World Trade Organization. Write Senator Robb, Senator Warner, and your Congressman and tell them to “Support and Defend” the Constitution by voting against the GATT-WTO agreement.

For more information about GATT/WTO and their importance to the the new world order, call or write me at 381 Stuyvesant St., Warrenton, Va. 22186 or call 3470474.
