Reston Rescheduled
James Reston Jr. will be in Russia this week and his appearance at the library to discuss his book on Galileo has been rescheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, March 31.
Flood Plain Mapping
Surveyors from the Army Corps of Engineers will be working in the Sperryville area next week as part of a project to develop flood plains elevation maps for the federal government.
Personal Property Forms
Personal property tax forms were sent out last week. This is being done to see if it cuts down on the number of late forms. Last year approximately 700 forms were not filed on time, and taxpayers had an additional 10 percent charge added to their fall tax bills.
Motor vehicles owners should check the form to make sure it is accurate, sign the back of the form and return it. It is not necessary to fill out any other part of the form. The forms are due by May 1. For further information call 675-3513.
Rep To Visit
Mrs. Donna Crowley, a representative of Congressman Frank Wolf, will visit the town of Washington on Thursday, March 9. She will be at the Rappahannock County Extension Office from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
