Because of technical problems the students had to build a completely new vehicle on Thursday. The Division II team only had Friday after school to practice for the following day's tournariienr. By 9 p.m. Friday the team members felt discouraged and tired. They decided to follow through with their presentation even though their vehicle had yet to solve the problem within the allotted eight minutes. Many team members were hoping for a miraculous snow or ice storm that would postpone the tournament.
The Division I team worked just as hard as Division II. Disappointed Division I team members decided late Friday evening not to compete because of problems encountered with their vehicle.
