Odyssey of the Mind is an international association that charters affiliates to sponsor the contests in their jurisdictions. First place winners from association llnalsare eligible to compete in the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals.
Through the development of cooperative teams of students, the OM Association ■‘pros ides opportunities to develop creative problem-solving skills that are important in an ever-changing world,” according to materials supplied by the organization.
The school system hopes that this year’s competition will be expanded in future years with more teams from Rappahannock competing in Odyssey of the Mind.
