cubes (about 3 slices)

1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Iowfat Swiss cheese

1.package (2.5 ounces) sliced corned beef, chopped

6 eggs

1 cup skim or low-fat milk ' 1/3 cup bottled low-fat Thousand Island dressing

In large saucepan over medium heat, stir together water, cabbage and caraway seed. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly soft, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in bread cubes, cheese and beef. Toss lightly. Turn into lightly greased 8 x 8 x 1-inch baking dish. Beat together eggs, milk and dressing until thoroughly blended. Pour over bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

Bake in preheated 350 degrees F oven until knife inserted near center comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes.

1 can corned beef

3 tablespoons mustard

3 tablespoons poppyseed

3 tablespoons Worchestershire

1 onion, chopped

2 sticks margarine/butter, melted

3 packages Pepperidge-Farm party rolls

3-4 ounces shredded Swiss cheese

Remove rolls from foil and slice lengthwise. Place the bottom half of the rolls back in the foil tray. Mix all other ingredients together. Squish with hands until well mixed. Spread mixture on bottom layer of rolls — replace top. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Slice apart and serve warm. Makes 3 trays of rolls.

80th Birthday Party

A surprise 80th birthday dinner for Mrs. Ethel Bailey of Washington was held on Feb. 12 at the Washington fire hall.

The celebration was hosted by her children with an attendance of 120 persons from Pennsylvania, Mary land, D.C. and Virginia.

Attending were her six children, 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, cousins and many friends.
