one of .he thirty “celebrated” quartets by this most prolific and ingenious composer, and Mozart's introspective Quartet in D Minor, K421/417b, from the set of six quartets Mozart dedicated to Haydn. Opening the program is Momigny’s Quartet in F Minor, Op. 1, No. 3. Momigi y, well known as a theorist and crii:c, is especially famous for his analyses of Mozart quartets, including the D minor, which may be said to nave shaped his own compositional paths. The juxtaposition of Mozart and Momigny on the program is therefore a highly interesting one, and will be hscussed by Kenneth Siowik in an informal talk beginning one-half hour before the concert.
Tickets for the concert at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 ere SI3.50 with reservation, $15 at the door. Children’s tickets are half price. Included in the ticket admission is the pre-concert talk at 3 p.m. by Kenneth Siowik. For reservations and information call 675-1253.
