To the Editor:
1 write, with glee, about what certainly must be a new benchmark to be recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
On Monday, Feb. 13, I submitted my 1994 Virginia State Income tax return, on which I was due a refund, to Betsy at the Commissioner of Revenue Office in Washington. On Friday, Feb. 17, I found in my post office box in Amissville my 1994 Virginia State Tax refund.
That’s five days, folks! Five days from start to finish, beginning to end, one day shorter than it recently took a letter mailed in Warrenton to reach my in Amissville address, via the Dulles Distribution Center.
If anyone beats this refund record let us know. I figure the only way to get faster service will be for Betsy to hand out refund checks as she Veceives returns. Who knows?
