Mr. Bailey.
According to Richie Burke, Chief of the Sperryville Fire Department, Mr. Bailey was transported to the hospital in Front Royal where he was treated and released. Four companies reported to the fire: Sperryville, Flint Hill, Washington and Amissville.
Mr. Bailey had a lot of flammable items in the garage which added to the intensity of the fire, such as acetylene and oxygen tanks, a five gallon container of gas, paint and paint thinner, and automotive engine parts. Also lost in the fire was new welding equipment which had not yet been used.
Mr. Bailey said that several thousands of dollars of items were lost in the lire, but he is thankful to the tire and rescue teams which came to his aid so quickly.
