NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND NOTICE OF BUSINESS TO BE CONDUCTED AS A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE TOWN COUNCIL TOWN OF WASHINGTON, VIRGINIA PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting to be held on June 7, 1995 at 7:30 o’clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matters can be heard, the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia will consider the following matters: 1. The Town Council will hold a Public Hearing to consider the Proposed Budget for the Town of Washington and for the Town of Washington Water System for Fiscal Year 1996. Public input will be heard on June 7, 1995, and a vote on the Proposed Budget is expected to be taken on June 14,1995 at the regular Town Council meeting. A synopsis of the Proposed Budget is as follows: TOTAL INCOME: $123,600.00 EXPENSES: Administration: 28,400.00 Capital Expenses: 23,600.00 Capital Reserves: 12,360.00 Contributions: (Fire Dept., Fireworks, etc.) 17,200.00 Employee Expenses: 28,750.00 Maintenance: 5,700.00 Operations: 6.250.00 TOTAL EXPENSES: $122,260.00 A synopsis of the Proposed Budget for the Washington Water System is as follows: TOTAL INCOME: $45,500.00 EXPENSES: Administration: 1,350.00 Capital Programs: 25,350.00 Maintenance: 2,300.00 Operations: 16.500.00 TOTAL EXPENSES: $45,500 2. The Town Council will consider and vote on the adoption of a Bond Ordinance for the issuance of a 575,000.00 General Obligation Bond to finance improvements to the Town of Washington Water System. At said meeting, the Town Council will also take such steps as are necessary to authorize representatives of the Town Council to sign such documents as are required to complete the issuance of said Bonds and to enter into matching Grant Agreements with the Rural Economic and Community Development Administration. A copy of both Proposed Budgets and the Bond Ordinance will be available for inspection by the public at County Administrator’s Office, located on Gay Street in Washington, Virginia, during normal business hours, and at the Town Hall Office in Washington, Virginia, between 9:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M.
