In 1981, Dr. Quaintance retired from active practice to devote time to a wide variety of other interests.
Dr. Quaintance was a member of the Culpeper Baptist Church.
Surviving Dr. Quaintance are his wife, Virginia; four children, R. Wilson Quaintance III and Kemper A. Quaintance, both of Culpeper, Ellen L. Quaintance of Fredericksburg and Susan Q. Ferguson of Harrisonburg; five grandchildren and one brother, Barton P. Quaintance of Wilmington, Del.
Funeral services were conducted at the Culpeper Baptist Church on Saturday, May 20.
Interment was at the Fairview Cemetery.
Clore Funeral in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Edward Jeffries
Mr. Edward Hamilton Jeffries, 60, of Hartwood died Sunday, May 21 at Fairfax Hospital.
He was born in Amissville on Dec. 14, 1934, the son of the late Joseph C. Jeffries and the late Helen M. Tharp Jeffries.
He was the husband of Ruth Darlene Jeffries who died in 1983.
He is survived by one son, Edward Hamilton Jeffries Jr. of Culpeper; four daughters, Bonnie B. Chatham of Stafford, Belinda K. Jeffries of Culpeper, Pamela Buckley of Madison and Angela D. Sullivan of Rhoadesville; seven brothers, J.R. Jeffries, Preston Jeffries, Robert Jeffries, Wayne, Jeffries, James Jeffries, Louie Jeffries and Charlie Jeffries; two sisters, Mary Ann Wiltshire and Lucile Gray and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24 at Clore Funeral Home with the Rev. William Smith officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
