However, until the work on the lagoon is completed the board does not know what funds it will have for other projects, and it would be difficult to wait until that is known and still have time to bid other projects before November, the original date for spending the bond funds.
Ellen Manson appeared before the board to request the use of the school parking lots and buses and drivers on a contingency basis to help with parking for the Town of Washington’s Fourth of July event. She said that several lots organizers had hoped to use in town would not be available because of the rainy weather.
The board approved her request.
