Amissville Health and Fitness Group meetings for Tuesday, July 4 and July 1 1 have been canceled because of holiday and Vacation Bible School.
The Amissville Fire Department would like to express appreciation to everyone involved in assisting with the carnival and parade. Also, special thanks to everyone who participated in the parade, even though it got rained out and no trophies could be awarded.
Winners in the Queen, Jr. Miss, and Little Miss contest, along with the money raised follow. Special thanks to the contestants and their parents for raising needed funds for the department.
Queen: Stacy Straightiff won with $454; Rachel Koski, second place with $158 and Susan Ridgeway, third place with $108.
Junior Miss: Sabrina Hensley won with $450 (won two years previously) and Juanita Cook, second place with $115.
