How does one acknowledge the kindness and support offered by so many in a community such as ours where virtually everyone responds with sincere and immediate concern to another’s need?
From the 911 operator to the Emergency service of the Washington Volunteer Fire Department, to Culpeper Hospital’s EMR, the local churches’ prayers, the cards, letters, visits, flowers, calls, gifts, food, chores, companionship, well-wishers by the score? How can one hope for a more caring community in which to live, to work and to share?
Although still not able to verbalize the depth of his appreciation, I know that Bill joins me in thanking each and every person who has responded to his sudden illness. We both truly believe that Rappahannock is the best of all worlds because of the people in it. We are grateful to fate for having steered us here more than 32 years ago.
