Movie At Theater
Schindler’s List will be the movie at the Theater at Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 21. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
Flint hi ill Carnival Set
Carnival dates for the Flint Hill Fire Department have been set for July 26-29. The parade will be held on Friday this year. For more information on the parade call Harry Tummeyer at 635-8278.
Pressure Canner Lids To Be Tested
The Extension Office will be testing the dial gauges on pressure canners for accuracy and safety from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18 as a service to families preparing for the food preservation season. Bring only the lid of your pressure canner.
Support Group To Meet
“Working Through Grief,” a support group will meet every Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. The groups are structured to help each participant better understand and cope with his or her loss. If you or a loved one is in need of bereavement support, please call the Hospice office at 825-4840.
Hitt Family Dinner, Reunion
The descendants of Peter Hitt, one of the 1714 German Settlers at Germanna, Va., will gather at the Holiday inn in Culpeper for a Hitt family dinner and reunion on July 14. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. to allow for late arrivals in Culpeper of those, who will be attending the Germanna Reunion on Saturday and Sunday. However, those arriving early and those living nearby will gather at 5 p.m. for Happy Hour and to discuss their Hitt Family Genealogy. Those attending are asked to bring with them the Hitt Memorabilia they might have to share.
