Bike Trails
To the Editor:
Bike trails and pedestrian lanes in Rappahannock County? C’mon, if you want bike trails then move to Fairfax County.
That’s where they lay down asphalt through the woods in an attempt to make you think you are riding through a place like Rappahannock County.
We don’t have to pretend. We have the real thing. We have plenty of bike trails which don’t cost an extra penny. They’re called country roads.

To the Editor:
Your front page article this week renewed the pain that 1 have been feeling since Tuesday in the loss to my family of a very good friend, Kirk Davis. I can’t even begin to imagine the loss to his son, Kirk, one of my son's closest friends since pre-school, his daughter, Nicki or to his wife, Pat, who is my true friend.
Apparently whoever choose to write the editorial did not know the same Kirk that I knew, for the father, husband and friend that 1 will remember was a most unmaterialistic person. If he was risking his own personal safety, I believe it was to check on the equipment that he used in his business — a business that he used to take care of a family that he would have put before his own personal safety.
