As many of you know, this is the first time that the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) has organized the Fourth of July celebration. We enjoyed the experience and the opportunity afforded us to assist the numerous non-profit organizations that benefited from the event.

We also learned a lot about its organization and hope to make it even better next year. We would like to thank the Town Council, and especially Charlie Tompkins, who gave us the opportunity to help the community this way, and who worked so tirelessly himself to make it the enormous success that it was.

Again our thanks to everyone in the community, and to the Rappahannock News, for helping us stage this successful event at a time when the community so needed something to uplift our spirits after the tragedies of the flood. We thank you one and all.
