ing a long and dutiful career. Prior to the nine plus years pasturing in Woodville, Starke and Madelyn served over 19 years at the Culpeper Baptist Home which included a three year sojourn to the Fredericksburg Baptist Church. Before that, Rev. and Mrs. Jones served for three years at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Hillcrest Heights, Md., where Starke was the Minister of Education.
Rev. L. Starke Jones is a graduate of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas. He and Madelyn hail from Fredericksburg, Virginia. Fortunately for their friends and fans, the Jones’ plan to remain in Woodville and will continue to attend services.
The members of Woodville Baptist Church are grateful to Rev. and Mrs. Jones and the strong Christian foundation left by them, and are pleased with the promises of the future.
The members of the church welcome all to come and visit and share in their worship services. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. and worship services begin at 11 a.m. Bible study and choir practice are held Wednesday nights, starting at 7 p.m. Woodville Baptist Church is located on Route 522 in Woodville.
