movement children s class planned

Kitty Keller’s creative movement for kids will begin Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center in Sperryville. Classes are for children ages 5-8 from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. and ages 8-12 from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. “Much more than a dance class, Kitty’s students learn intelligent movement with developmental emphasis, fun, grace, balance and fluidity,” said a spokesperson. Family reunion scheduled

The Jenkins-Sisk-Woodard family reunion hosted by Raymond and Frances Jenkins will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3 at the Rappahannock Park. All family and friends are invited. Everyone is ask to bring a covered dish.

Boosters to organize

There will be a meeting on Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. at the RCES library to officially organize a Choral Boosters in the Rappahannock County Schools. All interested parents and supporters are invited and encouraged to attend. For more information call Joy Rollins at 937-5673.

Physicals to be given

Virginia High School Physicals will be given on Aug. 6. The physicals will being at 2 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. Any Rappahannock County High School student planning on participating during the 1997-98 sports season should get a physical. PTO meeting planned

The Rappahannock County Elementary School’s first PTO meeting for the 1997-98 school year will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14 in the RCES library. Principal Raye Tupper and Assistant-Principal Richard Smith will be there to speak and answer any questions you may have. All parents of RCES students are encouraged to attend.

Art exhibit in the nest

Dulaney Hollow Bed and Breakfast and Antiques cordially invites you to the opening reception presenting the Momotypes of the Blue Ridge by Tucker Hill and Chinese Brush Paintings — “Flower & Bird” by Charlene M. Fuhrman-Schultz on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 2 to 5 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through Oct. 19 ever Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at Dulaney Hollow in Etlan (Madison County); partial proceeds will benefit The Blue Ridge Foothills Conservancy.
