“Washington has clean air, clean water and it has such a nice sense of community,” one resident said.
' It was pointed out that the historic value citizens wish to preserve could hold potential for positive growth when mixed with Washington’s widely renowned inn and tourism in the town.
It was suggested that perhaps a questionnaire could be provided to tourists coming to the town so that the reasons tourists come here can be determined and looked at for growth purposes.
Some merely want to see things stay the same. After all, they said, not much has changed thus far.
Perhaps the most poignant of these visions was a man who said he wants a place where he can live, raise kids and grow old.
Only time will tell which of the visions will or will not come true.
