In other news for the area we congratulate the Reva Rescue Squad for having been named the Best Appearing Rescue Squad and the Fire Department having Best Appearing Pumper. These events took place at the Madison County Fair last week.
Misses Mary Tharp and Margie Williams attended a family get together party at the home of Mrs. Gladys Williams in Culpeper on Sunday.
Mrs. Mark Halterman accompanied her parents Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Cunningham of Jeffersonston to Lignum last Sunday where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Willie Cunningham.
On Saturday, Aug. 2 beginning at 10 a.m. the second annual Children’s Theater in the Field will be held here in Griffinsburg at the Windmore Cultural Center.
Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Mason of Route 522 were among those who attended the musical program by John Triplett at Culpeper Agriculture Enterprise on Sunday.
